We are seeking a skilled and experienced Surgical Tech to join our surgical team at St. John's Regional Medical Center. As a Surgical Tech, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
Prepare and set up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies for surgical procedures.
Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and supplies to the surgeon and other team members.
Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and maintain a sterile field throughout the surgery.
Collaborate with the nursing and anesthesia teams to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Perform surgical counts and assist with the safe disposal of biohazardous materials.
Assist with the positioning and draping of patients.
Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of surgical equipment.
Provide guidance and mentorship to Surgical Tech I staff members.

Qualifications
A minimum of two (2) years recent hospital experience in the capacity of a Surgical Technologist in all surgical specialties.
Demonstrates advanced skills appropriate to the role of the Surgical Technologist.
Certification as a Surgical Technologist
American Heart Associate CPR required
This position is represented by SEIU Local UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Pay Range
$32.15 - $40.17 /hour
