Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
The candidate will be working in a production facility where passports, travel documents, and CRA documents requiring embossment and binding are made. The role involves setting up machines with raw materials, loading and producing the product, performing a brief visual inspection, and packaging it for the shipping department. Each job lot has an estimated job time, so the candidate should be able to review the job and multi-task as required.
Responsibilities
Set up machines with raw materials.
Load and produce the product.
Perform a brief visual inspection of the products.
Package finished products for the shipping department.
Review job lots and multi-task as needed.
Essential Skills
4 years of experience working as a bindery clerk in a relevant field (slitting, cutting, set-up).
Proficiency in using standard printing tools (cutter, stitcher, embosser, hot press, industrial laminator).
Ability to obtain secret-level clearance.
Mechanical aptitude and machine operating skills.
Experience with corrugated print press and die cutting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Bilingual (French an asset but not necessary).
Experience with foil stamping, chip laying, or laser cutting is a plus.
