Corporate Manager, Local Accounting (Finance)

As Corporate Manager, Local Accounting, you will participate in the decision making process and provide a high degree of professional counsel, advice and guidance to management in the areas of local accounting and administrative services. In carrying out these functions, you will ensure that managers are aware of all policies, procedures and controls to ensure that the assets of the Corporation are safeguarded and that expenditures are in accordance with approved business plans.

You will recommend changes and updates to policies and procedures as required to address changes in the operating environment.You will also ensure that financial transactions are recorded in the books of account on a timely basis to facilitate the production of accurate and timely reports for Media Partners and Corporate management

You will have to support Finance in the production of the quarterly and annual reports of the Corporation and coordinate the work of the Local Accounting team; train, direct and manage staff.

This is a temporary role until September 2026.

We are looking for a candidate with the following:

  • Professional accounting designation - CPA.

  • Must have between five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in related field.

  • Bilingual (French and English).

  • In-depth knowledge, training and experience in the areas of general accounting, processing, and internal controls and a good understanding of the planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting activities.

  • Must be familiar with and capable of using various software packages in delivering reports and projects.

  • Knowledge of broadcast environment in order to best counsel their clients, an asset.

  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills, tact, diplomacy and persuasion.

  • Excellent planning organizational skills, sound judgment and initiative.

  • Accuracy and attention to detail are essential.

  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate staff.

  • Must be able of working effectively as a team member.
