This is a contract role for 1-2 years subject to renew.
Responsibilities:
a. Environmental performance (30%)
· Establish and manage a country wide environmental strategy
· Engagement with key stakeholders and an engagement programme to ensure environmental initiatives are tracked and deliver environmental performance improvements (both within CRES teams and within the Business)
· Work with key stakeholders to ensure that environmental considerations are embedded in key business processes for all CRES functions e.g. Capital Projects, Sourcing etc and establish business case approach to tracking and driving environmental initiatives into BAU
b. Environmental Management (30%)
· Lead implementation of Environmental Management System within region
· Implement, review and maintain the Country Environmental Legal Register
· Develop and implement regional level environmental controls
· Support local certification activity including environmental audit /risk assessment programme
· Support local team with compliance to Environmental legislation
c. Reporting (20%)
· Co-ordinate the gathering of data for the reporting of environmental performance, ensuring timely and accurate data is provided from the APAC for inclusion in Global reporting
· Develop detailed reporting at a country level to enable a more detailed local focus on performance
· Establish and maintain an APAC wide environmental plan
· Feed into CRES SLT/COE reporting
d.Citizenship, Communication and Engagement (15%)
· Co-ordinate regional content for the CRES environmental intranet site appropriate to align with the Citizenship programme
· Co-ordinate the CRES APAC Environmental Engagement activities including local events, Earth Hour, World Environment Day etc
· Develop local internal environmental communications with Corporate Communications teams
· Establish a strong culture of communication and joined up thinking regarding environmental matters across CRES teams and functions
· Support Environmental training development
e.Other projects (5%)
· CRES APAC Citizenship programmes
· Support local team on ad-hoc environmental projects
Requirements:
· Candidate with Diploma/Degree in Environmental management, or relevant.
· 5 years in a full time environmental role with regional exposure.
· Extensive Environmental Legislation knowledge and experience in practical implementation
· Exposure to a variety of environmental green initiative and procurement and renewable energy
· Willing to work under minimum supervision
· Well verse in MS Words and in MS Excel
