THE WORK

This is a full-time position as an F-35 Flight Simulator System Admin/Tech located in Florennes, Belgium and is part of a Special Access Program.

This role is responsible for providing technical and operational services to support electronic and mechanical devices used for training personnel under simulated flying conditions. Candidate must be able to troubleshoot complex technical IT problems and issues, in order to determine technical solutions.

The selected individual will be required to maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, set up administrator and user accounts, maintains current system documentation, tunes system performance, installs system software, and allocates mass storage space. Performs administration functions on systems and ensures configuration compliance to include upgrading and patching as prescribed. Monitors policies and standards related to the use of computing resources and coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.

Job may require flexible work schedule to provide coverage for on-site customer requirements. Travel to support other sites CONUS and OCONUS may also be required.

Basic Qualifications:

- Active secret clearance with investigation within 5 years and required to obtain Special Access Program approval.

- Current Security+ certification

- Knowledge and experience with computer hardware and software.

- Ability to read and use technical schematics, drawings, and manuals along with other technical materials to resolve complex problems.

- Strong oral/written communication skills.

- Must be willing to support flexible work hours to align

with customer operational schedule.

Desired Skills:

- Previous experience as an F-35 Flight Simulator Sys Admin/Tech

- Familiarity with the F-35 ALIS program.

- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM related discipline

- Proven hardware and software support experience in a training/modeling and simulation environment.

- Network troubleshooting and maintenance experience.

- Experience working in classified/access controlled facilities.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
