FINCH CONSTRUCTION Commercial Construction Superintendent in OREM, Utah
The Superintendent is responsible for all aspects of jobsite management including staffing, scheduling and business partner/subcontractor relations. The Superintendent effectively oversees project from ground-breaking through completion. The successful candidate will have extensive industry experience that demonstrates excellent understanding of the unique needs and requirements of clients, projects, departments and systems. This role will be part of a growing construction team and be responsible for helping FINCON continue to be a leader in commercial Tilt-up construction.
- Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of the project and crews
- Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements and procedure planning
- Ability to manage multiple crews/foreman and coordinate construction activities. Core reasonability: plan, direct and coordinate all crews and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality and productivity metrics are achieved
- Inspect work progress, equipment or construction sites to verify safety, quality and specifications are met
- Using Total Station Surveying to locate, measure and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment
- Coordinate work activities with other construction project activities
- Confer with project manager or technical personnel, other departments or contractors to resolve problems or to coordinate activities
- Assist workers engaged in construction activities, using hand tools or other equipment
- Train and develop crew members as deemed necessary
- Maintain good customer relations by acting in a professional and courteous manner
