Amergis Speech Language Pathologist - ST in Ontario, California
AmergisHealthcare Staffing is seeking a Speech LanguagePathologist Schools. The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible forperforming student evaluations as well as providing and documenting therapyservices in accordance with the plan of care developed for each individualstudent and physician's orders when applicable.

Typical Hours : 8:00am – 3:30/4pm
· Pay Rate : startingat $65/hr & Up!(Negotiable Dep. On Expr.)

Minimum Requirements:
Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment required
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.
Must comply with accepted professional standards and practice
One (1) year of prior professional Speech-Language Pathology Assistant experience preferred; home care experience preferred
Must possess and maintain current certification in accordance with State regulation(s) like Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist; State of California Certificate of Clinical Competence, Speech-Language Pathology - American Speech-Language Hearing Association
Current record of TB test, PPD or chest X-ray results if applicable
Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, coworkers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language may be required
Computer proficiency required
Must be at least 18 years of age
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assesses students’ communication skills (e.g. articulations, fluency, voice, expressive and receptive language, etc.) for the purpose of identifying communication disorders, determining program eligibility and developing recommendations for treatment
Collaborates with a variety of groups and/or individuals for the purpose of communicating information, resolving issues and providing services in compliance with established guidelines
Coordinates meetings and processes for eligible students (e.g. testing/screening, IEPs, parent conferences, pre-referral staffing, etc.) for the purpose of presenting evaluation results, developing treatment plans, and/or providing training to parents/students/staff
Develops treatment plans, interventions and/or educational materials for the purpose of minimizing the adverse impact of communication disorders in compliance with regulatory requirements
Instructs eligible students in the use of appropriate communication technologies (e.g. hearing aids, FM systems, augmentative communication devices, etc.) for the purpose of minimizing the adverse educational impact of communication disorders in accordance with established guidelines and legal requirements
Maintains files and/or records (e.g. progress reports, activity logs, billing information, treatment plans, required documentation, quarterly reports, screening results, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of information as required for reference and or compliance
Participates in meetings, workshops, and seminars (e.g. training, IEPs, team meetings, etc.) for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information
Provides speech and language therapy to students for the purpose of minimizing the adverse impact of speech and language disorders on student success
Seeks appropriate in-service and professional development. Works within the policies and regulations of the Governing Board and member school districts; state public acts and regulations as described by the State Board of Education (ISBE); and applicable Federal laws, regulations and guidelines applicable to the education of students
