Honeywell Lead Advanced Manufacturing Engineer in Olathe, Kansas
As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Principal here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and continuous improvement in our manufacturing operations. You will be accountable for providing technical guidance and expertise in advanced manufacturing processes. With your extensive knowledge and experience, you will contribute to the advancement of our manufacturing capabilities and help us maintain our position as a global technology guide.
You will report directly to our Director Advanced Manufacturing Engineer and you’ll work out of our Olathe, KS location on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact our operational efficiency, product quality, and overall performance in the market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide technical guidance and expertise in advanced manufacturing processes
• Develop and implement advanced manufacturing strategies to drive innovation and continuous improvement
• Guide cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing operations and enhance productivity
• Identify and evaluate cutting-edge technologies for adoption in manufacturing processes
• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives
• Analyze manufacturing data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in advanced manufacturing
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
U.S. CITIZEN REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.
YOU MUST HAVE
Minimum of 15 years of experience in advanced manufacturing engineering supporting NPI and normal production.
Experience in the aerospace industry manufacturing environment (AS9100, EN 9110, IPC++)
Strong knowledge of advanced manufacturing processes, technologies, and industry best practices
Proven track record of successfully implementing advanced manufacturing solutions and driving process improvements
Excellent problem-solving and thoughtful skills
Strong communication and people-oriented skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
WE VALUE
Bachelor’s, Master's or Ph.D. degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, or engineering.
Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and other process improvement methodologies
Experience with automation and robotics in manufacturing processes
Strong guide and project management skills
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment
Continuous learning mindset and a passion for staying updated with the latest advancements in advanced manufacturing technologies and practices
