Michigan State Job Bank Manufacturing Planning Engineer in Novi, Michigan
- Lead manufacturing planning process for injection molding process and for manufacturing of company products.
- Define best manufacturing planning process, standards, templates, and oversee daily management and updates.
- Establish Yanfeng's global advanced manufacturing planning process and related YFIOS files and standards.
- Work with related functional team on G-COE to update the standards which serve for planning.
- Analyze Yanfeng's global capacity plan and other core database to support the manufacturing planning and strategy, especially for Phases 1 and 2.
- Review the capacity plan with regional capacity specialists and operation team regularly, not only on all general machines, but also for some specific dedicated machines.
- Prepare and review output monthly overview analysis report.
- Track and analyze the actual manufacturing KPI data of key and global projects in development phase, from SDT teams and other related function teams. Update the latest benchmark data into planning system.
- Cooperate with operation management to analyze the operation manufacturing KPI data (including CT, work time, HC, Scrap, utilization/OEE, and down time) and assets list to obtain useful data to support the manufacturing planning work.
- Establish and manage manufacturing planning system in terms of manufacturing efficiency, cost and quality.
- Establish the manufacturing planning system for global and regional.
- Cooperate with Global costing team/KM and other related functions in order to ensure quick manufacturing plan comparison template management.
- Communicate with management and user personnel to develop production and design standards.
- Recommend methods for improving utilization standards and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and facility utilization.
