Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Pay: Range as noted is dependent on experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Analyze customer print to determine all requirements for proper program generation.
  • Provide guidance and suggestions to improve existing program machine times in order to reduce costs and/or improve quality.
  • Provide guidance in developing and carrying out departmental goals and growth.
  • Oversee and direct all new medical projects.
  • Prioritize/schedule/delegate work as needed to assist work flow to the production floor.
  • Schedule upgrades for hardware and software programs.
  • Visit customers when required to assist with product design and technical/manufacturing applications.
  • Use of considerable judgment to determine proper program parameters to best support customer requirements.
  • Generate program file, CNC programs and verify before issuance.
  • Update all programs and files as required by updates and/or edits.
  • Advise others with respect to technical questions associated with machining process and machining technique.
  • Accurate documentation of customer requirements as related to programs.
  • Ability to create detailed CAD drawings using available computer programs.
  • Writes processes by applying technical engineering principles to trouble shoot machinist and programming problems.
  • Manages personnel issues with respect to performance evaluations, orienting new employees, conflict resolution and disciplinary problems.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for programs created to provide maximum safety of operators and production equipment.
  • Expeditious processing of all orders in support of production schedules.
  • Provide troubleshooting support to production employees when needed.
  • Provide back-up and support to Engineering when needed.
  • Provide assistance with the quoting process when required.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

EDUCATION: Associates Degree in a technical curriculum or equivalent nd/or experience

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years experience machining, plus 3 to 5 years experience programming in a job shop environment.

OTHER MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to interpret and explain complex drawings.
  • Understanding of CNC machining processes, including set-up, operations and control language.
  • A thorough knowledge of all programming and companion software, including DNC and post processors.
