Aerotek Assembler in North Reading, Massachusetts
Description:
Candidates will be working supporting the assembly and material handling teams supporting production and product packaging.
They will be expected to use hand and power tools to perform assemblies on an assembly line and will be expected to follow work procedures to complete the builds. They will also be training on shipping and receiving and learning skills to support the warehouse and materials team who are responsible for shipping out inventory as well as bringing materials to the production team.

Demonstrated proficiency using a variety of hand tools to assemble and repair large mechanical assemblies
Dexterity for assembly (manual)
Strength and endurance to assemble, install and test the larger components (up to 50 lbs).
Use of basic power tools
Must be able to follow work instructions provided for each assembly Job
Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
Ability to train and learn new duties. Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
preferred skills
Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing and its tools
o 5S Principles
o Kaizen
Experience with manufacturing execution systems
Certificate / Degree in electro - mechanical fields
