The Robotics Supply Chain organization sources a portfolio of robotics technology and is responsible for getting the right materials to the right place at the right time to support our network of global fulfillment and transportation solutions. It’s an operation that works cross-functionally with teams across Amazon globally, and is driven by data and metrics. The Robotics Supply Chain team is seeking an experienced Supply Chain professional to design and implement a comprehensive 3+ years spares planning strategy to ensure optimal inventory management, cost efficiency, and seamless support for AR site operations. The individual will analyze historical trends, market dynamics, and product lifecycle stages to forecast long-term demand and align supply with organizational needs. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, the role focuses on balancing inventory levels, mitigating risks, and driving strategies to manage spares throughout their lifecycle—from introduction to obsolescence, without impacting operations. Leveraging advanced tools and analytics, the role ensures data-driven decision-making while defining and tracking KPIs to enhance performance. This is a high visbility and high impact role and requires working with multiple stakeholders within and outside Robotics organization.
Key job responsibilities
Key Job responsibilities:
Design and implement a comprehensive 3+ years spares planning strategy to optimize inventory levels, ensure availability, and minimize costs across the supply chain.
Develop strategies to align product failure rates with supply reliability, balancing cost efficiency while ensuring seamless support for maintenance and service operations.
Proactively identify risks in spares availability and implement robust mitigation plans to safeguard business continuity and minimize disruptions.
Create a spares criticality assessment framework and recommend strategies tailored to criticality cohorts, ensuring cost-effectiveness and minimizing risks of excess and obsolescence inventory.
Utilize advanced planning tools and analytics to enhance visibility, drive informed decision-making, and improve overall supply chain performance.
Present strategy updates, risks, and actionable recommendations to leadership, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals and priorities.
Collaborate with Hardware Engineering, Logistics, Reliability & Maintenance Engineering, Finance, Commodity Management, and Purchasing teams to evaluate and communicate the impact of demand and supply plan changes effectively.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of supply chain experience
3+ years of spare parts management experience
5+ years of program or project management experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements; hands on experience of SQL/ Tableau
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Supply chain planning system experience- Kinaxis/ SAP/ Oracle
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of driving process improvements experience
Master's degree, or MBA in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or equivalent STEM field
APICS Certification is a plus
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
