Job Title: Quality Engineer

Job Description

As a Quality Engineer, you will assist in the day-to-day support of engineering operations within the assigned department. You will learn and understand engineering operations, assist in troubleshooting quality issues, and implement corrective actions. Your role includes developing solutions for consumer quality issues, interfacing with various teams including Engineering, Production, Quality, and Planning, as well as external technical support vendors. You will identify improvement opportunities, develop solutions, and review these with the Engineering Lead. Additionally, you will conduct Design of Experiments, create reports, and present data to stakeholders. Your responsibilities also encompass running laboratory tests on product returns, designing test fixtures, assisting with product reworks, organizing plant inspections, compiling and presenting data for project updates, and assisting in new product launches. Daily responsibilities include supporting field sales with product quality, compiling quality data, categorizing and summarizing quality issues, performing root cause analysis, taking measurements using precision equipment, and supporting quality methodology such as 5 Why and Fishbone.

This is a contract position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in North Olmsted, Ohio and some days remote.

Work Environment

This role involves frequent interaction with various internal teams and external vendors, requiring excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively. You will be engaged in both office settings for data analysis and presentations, as well as hands-on work in laboratory and plant environments.
