Honeywell Controls Building Automation/HVAC/DDC Field Technician (50% travel) in North Dakota
As a Controls Building Automation/HVAC/DDC Field Technician here at Honeywell, you will be accountable for providing technical assistance and service to our customers in the HVAC industry. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC control systems. Your expertise and dedication to customer satisfaction will contribute to the efficiency, comfort, and safety of our customers' buildings.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by delivering exceptional service and assistance to our customers in the HVAC controls industry.
You will report directly to our Field Service Manager and you'll work from a Honeywell customer site according to a set schedule.
**This position will primarily support customers in Grand Forks, ND and Rapid City, SD. On occasion will support the Midwest Region. Must reside within 50 miles of Grand Forks, ND or Rapid City, SD.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Commission, start up, and tune control systems to meet customer specifications and job requirement
Install, configure, and test pre-engineered software for control systems
Diagnose and resolve technical issues with efficiency and expertise
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement solutions tailored to customer needs
Program, troubleshoot, and maintain building automation systems to ensure optimal operating efficiency
Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate BAS solutions
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards
Document all service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records
Report incidents, near misses, and improvement opportunities through the SOS system
Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Ability to work weekends and be on-call for customers
Company vehicle will be provided to travel to customer sites
Travel: Up to 50%

MUST HAVES
2+ years of related Building Automation Systems (BAS)/DDC/HVAC experience
High School Diploma or GED
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
Effective communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent customer service skills with experience in technical phone or onsite customer support including good interpersonal communication skills
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record ability to pass background check
WE VALUE
Technical Diploma or Associates Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science or related field
Knowledge of DDC/BAS, HVAC, fire alarms, smoke control and/or security systems
Tridium Niagara 4 or Niagara AX experience (or willing to get certified)
Experience with systems that involve advanced solutions such as Honeywell Front End Computers such as EBI, Tridium N4, Honeywell XLS1000 and XLS3000, Edwards and Notifier fire alarm system and other technologies for building DDC, fire alarm and security solutions
Building Networks infrastructure knowledge (wiring, CAT, Cables, Fiber optics etc.)
Understanding of typical communication topologies is important
Strong computer, software and network skills, and knowledge are necessary for this position
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook
