Job Description
The Associate Director, Data Visualization Lead role sits within the Clinical Development Operations (CDO) organization and will provide strategic support for the development and enhancement of CDO data visualization products and tools. This role will help develop and execute the strategy of data visualization, driving cross-functional alignment with R&D business functions; proactively reviewing and identifying internal and external data trends to drive business value. Requires frequent interaction with Sr. Leadership and cross-functional management to influence key decisions that impact AbbVie’s ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
· Works with the data visualization team and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to drive the transformation of creating a data driven organization by executing the strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders, anticipating emerging technology needs, identifying these solutions and adjust/revise strategy and action plans accordingly.
· Provide leadership and direction as needed into all business project deliverables, including strategic decision-making, stakeholder management, release schedule, prioritization of development, budget preparation, and communication. Ensure on-time and within budget implementation.
· Project manage initiatives, enhancements and/or deliverables identified in support of transforming business processes and driving adoption of the tool.
· Leads discussions with Sr. Leadership, across Development, and BTS on setting priorities and goals.
· Leads the matrixed project team that supports the rollout future system releases/enhancements to data visualization products and tools; this team effectively manages the change request process, develops user requirements, leads user acceptance testing and drives user adoption.
· Lead the business in developing user requirements and testing for any new system enhancements.
· Leads a team to ensure proper review and approval of SLC and/or Agile deliverables, business risk assessment for the system and its data, records retention and disposition of data, application of legal hold orders, resolution of compliance or system data integrity issues.
· Maintain knowledge of current ecosystem with a focus on driving for excellence ensuring alignment to existing business processes.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific or business field preferred.
· 6 years of experience in pharmaceutical with knowledge of clinical trials, clinical trials process and technology, healthcare, or regulated industry with experience in project management or business technology support.
· Project management experience working in a complex and matrix environment. Experience using clinical trial systems preferred.
· Demonstrated effective communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate analytical and technical concepts in layman’s terms
· Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills. Demonstrated history of successful execution in a fast-paced environment and in managing multiple priorities effectively
· Demonstrated ability to influence Sr. Executives and cross-functional leaders
· Good understanding of clinical development functional areas and related processes. Proven track-record with leading complex cross-functional initiatives in Clinical Development

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

Salary: $133,500 - $253,500
