Description

Immediate contract opportunity for a Medical Administrative Assistant located in Norfolk, Virginia. In this role, you will be providing essential support to the operations of a laboratory within a medical firm. Your responsibilities will include facilitating the smooth functioning of the laboratory team, managing sensitive documentation, and fostering a positive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the daily operations of the laboratory team by providing comprehensive clerical support to staff, researchers, and leadership

• Handle the coordination of schedules, appointments, and meetings for team members, ensuring efficiency and timeliness

• Oversee data entry tasks related to lab workflows, supplies inventory, and budget documentation

• Assist with the preparation, proofreading, and distribution of lab reports, protocols, and research documents

• Ensure the safeguarding and management of sensitive patient-related or research-related documentation, adhering to all confidentiality practices

• Serve as the main point of communication for inquiries, correspondence, and announcements

• Transcribe and deliver accurate, high-quality written documents from audio recordings.

• Maintain and regularly update both electronic and physical filing systems to support audit readiness

• Assist with ensuring adherence to organizational, regulatory, and safety compliance requirements in all administrative workflows

• Utilize your experience with EHR SYSTEM, Answering Inbound Calls, Authorizations, Charts - Graphs, Data Entry, Meeting Coordination, Microsoft Office, and Medical Transcription to excel in this role.

Requirements • At least 2 years of experience in a Medical Administrative Assistant role or similar within the healthcare sector

• Proficiency in using the EHR System is required

• Capable of managing and efficiently responding to inbound calls

• Familiarity with authorizations within a healthcare setting

• Able to create, read, and interpret charts and graphs

• Demonstrated skills in data entry with a high level of accuracy

• Experience in coordinating and scheduling meetings

• Proficiency in Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Essential experience in medical transcription TalentMatch®
