Job Title: Lab Assistant

Job Description

As a Lab Assistant, you will be responsible for performing all duties assigned by the department, maintaining accurate records and documentation, recognizing unusual results/outcomes, and resolving discrepancies. You will also communicate any unusual occurrences.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties assigned by the department

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation

  • Recognize unusual results/outcomes and resolve discrepancies

  • Communicate unusual occurrences

  • Electronically scan sample racks

  • Determine acceptable or unacceptable samples

  • Pour off samples

  • Receive and scan in boxes

Essential Skills

  • Accessioning and data entry skills

  • Knowledge of inventory management

  • Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality standards

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma

  • Preferred experience in sample handling, accessioning, or warehouse work

Work Environment

The shift hours are Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
