Robert Half Accountant - Entry Level in Norcross, Georgia
Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for the role of an Entry Level Accountant at our location. The incumbent will be part of our Non-Profit sector team and will be tasked with managing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving any inquiries. The role will also involve monitoring customer accounts and implementing necessary actions.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure accurate application and recording of incoming funds, while understanding the structure of account numbers and modules of accounts receivable.
• Handle credit card payments, cash and check deposits, and prepare and execute bank deposits as required.
• Lead the preparation of internal invoicing for all payable items that require billing to other internal departments or locations. Also, ensure the preparation of corresponding supporting documentation.
• Oversee the receipting for banking transactions, preparation of batches, and input of receipt information into the accounting system.
• Take responsibility for resolving reconciling transactions that need further research and correction, coordinating with other accounting and finance personnel as needed.
• Assign account codes to payable invoices on a daily basis, and ensure the supporting documentation matches the invoices.
• Manage the processing and reconciliation of assigned exchange account and other balance sheet accounts that require research and reconciliation.
• Record necessary information in the accounting system; generate, prepare, and print reports necessary for backup in preparing payable batches.
• Prepare and process ACH and check payable batches as required.
• Perform a variety of administrative work associated with special projects, research and compile information for various reports, spreadsheets, and special projects, and inform appropriate personnel of discoveries. Requirements • The applicant must be proficient with account coding procedures and practices.
• The applicant should be well-versed in various accounting software systems to streamline financial operations.
• Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat is a must for handling financial documents and reports.
• The applicant should have experience with Dynamics NAV for efficient business planning and financial management.
• Familiarity with ERP solutions is necessary to enable integrated and streamlined business processes.
• The applicant must be capable of conducting detailed account analysis to ensure financial accuracy.
• The applicant should be adept at managing accounting entries to maintain an accurate record of all financial transactions.
• Comprehensive understanding of various accounting functions is imperative for this role.
• Account reconciliation skills are required to ensure that all financial data aligns and there are no discrepancies.
• The applicant should have experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) to manage and monitor all financial obligations of the company.
