We are seeking an experienced Strategic People & Culture (P&C) Business Partner to lead our Business Partner Team with a dedicated focus on our Finance & Spend Management organization within our Product & Engineering Board Area. This role is pivotal in aligning our People Agenda with the business objectives of the Finance & Spend organization. The ideal candidate will act as a trusted advisor, providing strategic P&C business partnering and driving initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and talent management as well as leading the team of Business Partners.
What You’ll Do:
SAP’s People and Culture organization is seeking a highly experienced and strategic P&C Business Partner to support our Finance & Spend Management Organization.
In this role you will act as a trusted Business Partner to the Lead of our Finance & Spend Management Organization along with their Leadership Team. You will lead a small team of P&C Business Partners to provide strategic P&C consulting on all people and organizational topics to drive the transformational journey of SAP with focus on the Finance & Spend Management Organization area. You will report to the SVP People & Culture Business Partner Lead for Engineering & Technology.
Transformation
Provide outstanding strategic consulting to the Finance & Spend Management leadership, ensuring alignment with SAP’s transformation goals.
Advise on strategic organizational design and drive the implementation of reorganizations, large business transformation & change management initiatives.
Team & Organizational Development
Drive team, organizational, and talent development by implementing P&C processes like Goal Planning, Annual Compensation Review, Roundtable, Talent Management, Employee Engagement. in alignment with our P&C Operating model in the most efficient way
Act as sparring partner to the Leadership Team and foster conversations about performance to create an open-minded and high-performance culture.
Strategic Workforce Planning
Provide detailed analysis and insights on organizational health to set up our Finance & Spend Management organization for success.
Partner to strategically plan the workforce of the future using workforce guidance / KPI’s like Early Talents, Women in Leadership and Management, workforce distribution, demographics, diversity, location strategy, external workforce etc.
What You Bring:
It's your strategic P&C orientation and drive for execution along with a strong professional track record that bring added value to our Engineering & Technology Business Partner Team and the Leadership Team within our Finance & Spend Management Organization. We look for a business partner with qualities like empathy, transparency, resilience, a growth mindset, delivering what you’ve agreed to deliver and the passion to make an impact.
10 years of P&C experience, with at least 5 years in a strategic P&C business partner role within a technology or engineering environment (at least 10,000 within organizational purview), in-depth P&C knowledge; worked and/or lived in an international environment
Strong experience operating in a business with a partnering mindset; solid consulting and persuasion skills for effective collaboration with high-level stakeholders
Strong business acumen and understanding of the technology sector.
Strong ability to build trusting relationships, demonstrating a high degree of professionalism in handling confidential and sensitive information while maintaining a balance between assertiveness and diplomacy
Strong leadership skills and experience leading P&C business partners in an enterprise environment
Expertise in implementing and driving transformation, change management initiatives at scale
Knowledge of strategic workforce planning and organizational development
Analytical with problem solving and decision-making skills; using data to inform decision making
Excellent communication and presentation skills, storytelling with data (English verbal & written)
Personal Traits:
Demonstrable executive presence; strong communication and facilitation skills
Leadership as both exemplar and enabler: cultural ambassador for SAP’s values & behaviors and Leadership Promise at all times
Cultural dexterity; international exposure, ideally business languages skills in both German and English
Relevant training, certification or educational background (Human Resources, Psychology, Business Management)

Compensation Range Transparency : SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 224700 - 381900(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
