Newtown Savings Bank Loan Servicing Programmer (onsite) in Newtown, Connecticut

Location: Newtown, CT

Newtown Savings Bank is seeking an organized, dependable professional to join our Loan Servicing team as a Loan Servicing Programmer. The Loan Servicing Programmer is responsible for programming new loans into the Bank’s core processing system within established timeframes, completing all daily loan teller transaction, and. processes payoffs, modifications and miscellaneous loan maintenance requests. This role has remote option of one day per week.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Program new loans into the Bank’s core processing system within established timeframes.

  • Process loan payoffs, modification and miscellaneous loan maintenance requests.

  • Process and balance all teller work including exception transactions, unapplied items, reversals and general ledger entries.

  • Process returned checks, ACH (Automated Clearing House) returns and assess the appropriate fee for each.

  • Setup, change and delete AFT (Automatic Funds Transfer) and ACH accounts. Process rejects, assess fees and send customer notices.

  • Review daily Investor report. Verify payoffs, daily transmittals and remit to Investor.

  • Process monthly investor loan sales on core system.

  • Monitor, process and finalize customer incidents on the CRM system.

  • Work various daily reports, such as exception reports, maintenance and billing reports.

  • Establish SMART goals and provide results/documentation to management quarterly.

  • Participate in various civic and community functions to further enhance the image of the bank and to network for continuous new business opportunities.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • Good aptitude for math, with accounting, or teller experience highly desirable.

  • Able to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Must be goal and deadline oriented, well organized, and dependable.

  • Good communication skills and intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel applications.

  • The individual must maintain the utmost confidentiality on all bank matters.
