Description

We are currently in search for a skilled individual who will support our prototype assembly lab. As an Engineering Technician, you will operate and maintain different semiconductor assembly equipment, such as SMT machine, die attach, wire bond, mold, backside grinder and laser mark toolsets. Responsibilities include operation of assembly equipment and manual soldering activities for module assembly and inspection under microscopes or X-ray machine. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced prototype assembly line with collaboration from experts within the design team and be a part of the wireless revolution.

Responsibilities:

• Daily activities include building semiconductor prototypes and engineering development parts using assembly equipment such as SMT machine, reflow oven, dicing equipment, die attach, wire bond, mold, laser marking and x-ray machines.

• To perform daily inventory count of parts and support assembly material requirement and shipping requests as needed.

• Must be able to participate in daily updates, exchange of information in meetings.

• Ensure ESD protocols are met and monitor compliance.

Required Experience and Skills:

• An associate degree or equivalent years of experience and 4 years of relevant experience

• Working knowledge and ability to run any of the following semiconductor equipment:

o Fuji SMT Machine, Datacon Die attach, K&S wire bonder, TOWA mold, EO Technics laser, Saw singulation or X-ray machines.

• Read and analyze schematics, wire bond diagram and engineering drawings.

• Ability to communicate and interact with internal business unit customers and engineers for assembly issue and corrective actions.

• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Excellent communication skills, ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

• Experience with MS office and windows OS

Desired Experience and Skills:

• Knowledge in different electronic components

• Willingness to work extended hours and weekend as necessary

• Experience in manual soldering and de-soldering techniques.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $28.65 - $50.05 per hour . Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
