Description
Overview:
Robert Half is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to support an Investor-Owned Utility client headquartered in New Jersey. This role offers a dynamic environment for professional growth, where you will design and maintain automated tests, validate software performance, and enhance testing protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain automated test scripts to ensure software functionality, identify bugs, and streamline testing processes.
Validate test plans, test cases, defects, user scenarios, test scripts, and testing estimates following Testing Center of Excellence (TCoE) guidelines.
Build a robust test data management and scripting strategy, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
Manage test environments and integrate test automation with CI/CD pipelines.
Conduct software issue research through automated testing techniques.
Collaborate with QA Analysts and Software Developers to develop effective testing solutions.
Provide support to the Release Management team and communicate Go/No-Go decisions for testing scripts.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
3+ years of experience in automation test engineering.
Strong understanding of IT project management methodologies and business-technical issues.
Proficiency in at least one Gartner-recognized test management application (e.g., ServiceNow, HP Quality Center, HP ALM, JIRA Xray).
Programming experience in languages such as C# or Java.
Familiarity with automation tools like Jenkins, Tosca, Selenium, Appium, and Sauce Labs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Tosca certification.
ISTQB, CTFL, or other testing certifications.
Test Automation Engineering certification.
