Global Treasury, a segment of the American Express Finance group, is responsible for managing a balance sheet that provides a competitive advantage for the company. This includes managing liquidity and capital to support our business; delivering cost-effective, diverse, and resilient funding; and identifying, measuring, and addressing financial and operational risks.

Global Treasury Operations, a segment of Global Treasury, ensures AXP has the right amount of money, at the right time, in the right place, in the appropriate currency to fulfill its financial obligations when they become due. The Cash Flow Forecasting team is responsible for planning and analyzing the Company’s global cash flows, ensuring levels of cash are appropriate to meet the Company business and balance sheet objectives.

The Manager – Global Treasury Operations-Cash Flow Forecasting Transformation will:

  • Refine key forecasting methodologies and assumptions using data driven analytics

  • Expand use of automation to drive process management efficiencies and expand/enhance forecast visualization

  • Coordinate with Cash Management teams to design forecast enhancements that support Global Treasury Operations evolving needs

  • Partner with Global Finance teams to leverage business analytics and deepen insights into cash flow trends

  • Partner with Global Technologies to implement enhanced automation solutions

  • Ensure controls remain appropriate, are well documented and tested, to support expanded forecasting capabilities

  • Respond to and prioritize 2nd and 3rd line oversight inquiries

How will you make an impact in this role?

The Manager will play a key role in continuing to drive best-in-class cash flow forecasting, driving transformation through automation and collaboration with Finance colleagues. As a Manager on our Global Treasury Operations team, you will partner extensively with numerous professionals across Finance and Technologies to deliver on these crucial initiatives and exciting developments within Treasury.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong data analytics, financial modeling/forecasting, and experience with SQL, Python, R and other similar tools

  • Ability to interpret, analyze and convey the important insights from large datasets

  • Strong financial, business-related acumen with problem-solving ability to drive and deliver actionable solutions

  • Experience with visualization software such as Power BI or similar software

  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships across Finance teams to drive innovation and transformation

  • Self-motivated, intellectually curious, pro-active individual with excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to adjust quickly to shifting priorities, multiple demands, ambiguity, and time management

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 3-5 years of Treasury or financial planning and analytics experience

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, operate effectively within large cross-functional teams and influence business partners to drive transformational change

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, drive projects, improve processes, and work well under time-pressured deadlines

  • Highly proficient in analytical tools and visualization software

  • Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills

  • Experience with cash flow forecasting tools a plus

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science

Preferred Additional Qualifications:

  • MBA or MS in Finance / Data Analytics a plus

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
