Position Overview:

Siemens Mobility is seeking to hire a Team Lead for Commercial Project Managers/Project Controllers for our Capital Spares business under the Customer Service business unit to support exciting new projects. You will be fully accountable to the commercial and financial management through the project execution as you collaborate with internal and external partners. You will lead a team of skilled commercial project managers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. This role can be based in Sacramento, CA with a hybrid work schedule or near another Mobility location to work a hybrid schedule. Remote work can be considered.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Manage and lead a team of Commercial Project Managers, ensuring their professional development and growth.

  • Leading projects by creating bookings, setting up project WBS structure, budget, and monitoring project financial status based on planned delivery schedule

  • Perform financial planning, forecasting, controlling, and reconciliation of project cash flow and standard deviation analysis using SAP.

  • Implement and drive measures to improve project performance (claims management and variation management)

  • Monitor and communicate trends, assess implications, and develop practical strategies.

  • Work with multi-functional teams (Project Managers, Legal, Operations, Procurement, Engineering, HR, etc.) to help them reach their financial goals and drive better efficiency and productivity on bids proposals and ongoing projects.

  • Producing and analyzing financial reports impacting the Spares Business Segment performance.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the project management team.

  • Serve as a point of escalation for project issues, ensuring timely resolution.

  • Prepare and present project status reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.

To thrive in this role, you have:

  • Bachelor's degree required,

  • 5+ years of validated experience with financial planning, accounting, and finance, with the ability to provide strategic insight through financial metrics,

  • Advanced analytical abilities, financial modeling, strong Microsoft Excel, Knowledge of ERP systems, and strong business modeling skills,

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate team members,

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels,

  • Setting you apart from others would be a bachelor’s degree in with a major in Finance, Economics, Business, or Accounting with SAP experience.

The base salary range for this position in Sacramento is $118,100-$159,600 and Pittsburgh is $$107,500-$145,000 and in New York City is $128,900 – 174,000 and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary. The actual salary/wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
