About the team
FIS are on a really exciting journey re-engineering our core payments platform to be more cost effective, scalable and cloud ready utilizing the latest cutting-edge technologies. This journey will require the very best engineering talent to get us there as it's not just a technical change, it's a cultural change as well.
What you will be doing
- Creates and updates User Documentation and/or online help for the assigned project according to BU documentation
requirements and standards.
- Maintain the document/content upto date and embed into our operations, training courses, etc.
- Creates clear and concise documentation for projects based on the client/BU requirements.
- Conducts interviews with SMEs to understand new features and gather information for documentation.
- Takes ownership of the documentation requirement of associated Scrum teams.
- Researches and translates complex information into manuals and/or web-based documents for nontechnical and technical
users.
- Provides inputs to improve and standardize processes.
- Recommends formats responsive to technical and customer requirements.
- Produces products that conform to the company documentation and quality assurance standards.
What we are looking for
- 4 to 10 years of experience in core technical writing
- Impeccable verbal and written English language skills
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field of study, or equivalent of education and experience
- Authoring tools: MadCap Flare, RoboHelp, MS Word, FrameMaker
- Knowledge and experience in working with Agile Methodologies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Excellent ability to understand complex scenarios and document them;
- Ability to take initiatives and work independently or within a team.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to excel in high pressure situations
- Good to have knowledge and understanding of financial, operational and business processes
Good to have
- Knowledge of Content Management Systems is a plus.
