Braze Software Engineer II in New York, New York
Software Engineer II at Braze, Inc. (NY, NY).Duties: Responsible for building and maintaining the core infrastructure that delivers to our customers’ end users personalized emails, including a feature-rich dashboard that allows customers to compose and customize emails, a set of REST APIs to manage customer data, and a highly parallelized platform to personalize and send emails at huge scale. Work alongside a senior engineer to build out new features and improve stability and performance. Architect new iterations of critical components on backend systems, build and optimize for massive scale, and rebuild parts of our dashboard on the latest modern tech stackReqs: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in full stack software development. Experience must include: leading and writing small to medium sized programming projects; writing and releasing full stack software applications to solve real-world business problems; managing feature releases to ensure smooth rollout to business users; troubleshooting production issues and addressing customer support requests; creating dashboards to observe production metrics and associated monitors to alert in case of deviations; and utilizing tools, including: Front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, or JavaScript), Databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or SQL Server), and Object oriented languages (C#, Ruby, or Java).
