Flatiron seeks a Senior Software Engineer at its New York, NY location.Duties Write simple, elegant, well-structured, well-tested code that drives new features and improvements across all out products and services. Build creative solutions to tough business challenges; Code and designs are extensible and reusable, while making appropriate tradeoffs around optimization. Own the design and implementation of subsystems or feature sets within an existing product or pipeline. Consistently communicate technical decisions through high-quality design docs, tech talks, and the wiki. Promote technical best practices and unblocks other engineers through various mediums (e.g. people who ask questions on Slack), without getting derailed. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, and 4 years of experience in related occupations. Required experience must include any amount of experience in all of the following: Writing structured and tested code; Python, C++, Java or C#; Operating and running sprints; Designing and developing scalable and distributed data solutions. Telecommuting permitted. The Salary Range for this position in New York, New York is $176,914.86 - $228,000. The annual pay range for this position is based on the preferred primary location of the role which is listed above. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
