JOB DESCRIPTION

The Division of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science invites applications for tenure-track or tenured faculty positions at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. We seek outstanding candidates with demonstrated excellence in clinical or translational research in obstetrics, gynecology, or reproductive science.

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai offers an exciting research environment that is highly collaborative and with world-class shared research facilities. Qualified candidates must hold a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD with a strong record or established research funding, including NIH grants. The successful candidates are expected to establish a dynamic and independently funded research program, as well as to support and participate in collaborative cutting-edge research throughout the medical school.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leading clinical or translational research program, area of study may be varied but cross-disciplinary initiatives in maternal and fetal medicine, gynecologic oncology, genomics, or imaging sciences or closely related fields are welcomed.

  • Teaching and supervising medical students, residents, fellows, and advanced practice providers

  • Participating in continuing medical education and department quality initiatives

  • For physician applicants, providing clinical care relevant to their subspecialty

  • Compensation range from 300K to 500K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience, plus excellent benefits, relocation assistance, and professional development opportunities are part of this nationally and locally competitive compensation package. Seed packages are available.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must hold a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD with a strong record or established research funding, including NIH grants.

• Up-to-date and active research experience of 5 years or more, including NIH- or similar funding.

• Suitable for working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary environment

• Strong communication skills and an ability to collaborate with peers and train postdocs and graduate students effectively.

Mount Sinai Health System provides a salary range to comply with the New York City law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range. The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.
