How you'll make an impact:

Manager, Music Programming Operations supports Vice President, Music Programming Operations in hiring, training and managing Music Programming Coordinators with the goal of assisting with their professional growth and development. Incumbent will also aide in managing daily studio operations & high-profile events.

What you'll do:

  • Manage Music Coordinator staff and In Studio Producers.
  • Trains new employees on music scheduling software, editing equipment, automation systems and live studio operations.
  • Manages In- Studio Producer schedule; assigns Coordinators to studio sessions and coordinates accordingly with Programming & Talent departments.
  • Provides operational support during off-site events; live & captured.
  • Act as liaison to music artists during celebrity visits and communicates with music labels, as directed by management.
  • Works with the Operations teams across all SiriusXM sites to implement and execute departmental initiatives.
  • Schedules and edits music and non-music elements prior to air in scheduling software, ensuring that music rotation policies are followed for assigned channels.
  • Carry out other programming related assignments as determined by Vice President, Music Programming.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least three (5) years of music programming related experience at a satellite, traditional commercial, and/or college radio station
  • 2 + years of management experience
  • Ability to work well with and manage a number of different personalities
  • Ability to lead project specific teams and activities
  • Ability to multi-task and shift priorities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details
  • Ability to be flexible and professional under pressure and deadlines
  • Self-motivated and proactive

  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, with an emphasis on Excel
  • Previous use of Music Master, Zetta, Galaxy automation systems and Adobe Audition
  • Proficient with live studio operations
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $66,600 to $85,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
