Google SoC Performance Architect, Silicon in New Taipei City, Taiwan

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 3 years of experience in performance analysis, tools, or simulators at different abstraction levels (e.g., Cycle Accurate, TLM, or Functional).

  • Experience in ASIC architecture or graduate coursework in computer architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, with an emphasis on Computer Architecture, or a related field.

  • Experience with Android profiling tools.

  • Knowledge of one or more of these areas: CPU, GPU, Fabric, Memory, Camera, Video, Display, Security, or Modeling and analysis of chip/workload power.

  • Knowledge of OS, firmware, and software stack.

  • Excellent Python scripting/programming skills.

  • Perform pre-silicon performance validation and simulation using C/C++ and RTL-based models.

  • Present analysis results in both qualitative and quantitative fashion effectively.

  • Create tools/scripts to automate test suites and models to improve functionality of simulators.

  • Participate in evaluation of future ASIC designs and general architecture.
