Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Manager in New Orleans, Louisiana

Description

We are partnering with an international company to find an HR Manager in New Orleans, Louisiana. This role primarily involves overseeing the recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compliance, and benefits administration for the company. Additionally, you will be expected to contribute to HR strategy and planning, as well as maintain HR systems and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement recruitment strategies, manage the recruitment process, and coordinate new employee orientation and onboarding programs.

• Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries and concerns, manage disciplinary actions, terminations, and exit interviews.

• Develop performance appraisal programs, provide guidance on performance-related issues, and facilitate performance improvement plans.

• Identify training needs, create comprehensive training programs, and organize internal and external training sessions.

• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, maintain HR policies and procedures, and conduct audits of HR practices.

• Oversee employee benefits programs, assist employees with benefits-related questions, and work with benefits providers.

• Develop and implement HR strategies in partnership with senior management, analyze HR metrics, and participate in strategic planning meetings.

• Maintain HR information systems and generate HR reports to support decision-making processes.

• Leverage skills in Compensation Administration, Compliance, Employee Relations, and Corporate Recruiting to enhance HR operations.

This role calls for a high degree of organization and detail-orientation, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software is a must.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience as a Human Resources Manager for a minimum of 5 years

• Proven expertise in Compensation Administration

• Strong knowledge in Compliance and legal procedures related to Human Resources

• Experience in handling Employee Relations

• Proficiency in Corporate Recruiting and talent acquisition strategies

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities

• Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to create and implement HR policies and procedures

• Solid understanding of labor legislation and payroll process

• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills

• Strong ethical standards and high level of confidentiality

• Ability to strategically plan and manage HR workflow and operations

• Certification in Human Resource Management will be an added advantage
