Actalent Electrical Mechanical Technician in New Brighton, Minnesota
Electrical TechnicianJob Description
As an Electrical Technician, you will be tasked with the assembly of control panels, electronic breadboards, and other electrical components according to company specifications. This role involves building custom PC boards, cables, harnesses, electronic and electro-mechanical test equipment as per engineering specifications. You will be responsible for modifying jumpers to existing Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA) and Flexible Circuit Assemblies (FCA), and troubleshooting electrical and/or system's issues to isolate failures. An important part of your role will be operating electrical test equipment, including Oscilloscopes, Digital Volt Measures, Function Generators, ESD Guns, and Power Supplies. You will also be expected to actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, providing recommendations and implementing enhancements to current methods and procedures as needed.
Hard Skills
1 year experience as a technician
1 year experience reading electrical schematics
1 year experience building and troubleshooting cables and wiring harnesses
Electrical Technician Associates degree or two-year certificate in related field (preferred)

This is a contract position with a duration of 1 Year(s).
Work Environment
You will be working in an R&D environment, focusing on building prototypes. This role involves close collaboration with engineers and other technicians.
