Nesco Resource Sanitation Worker in Naugatuck, Connecticut
Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and dependable individual to assist with cleaning, sanitation, manufacturing, packaging, and facility maintenance tasks in a manufacturing environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Cleaning and Sanitation:
- Maintain cleanliness of production areas, including floors, walls, ducts, and sanitation mats.
- Perform pest control inspections and manage pest control programs.
- Maintain and monitor cleaning supplies and chemical inventory.
- Oversee weekly sanitation inspections and document findings.
Manufacturing:
- Weigh and load ingredients into machines following batch records.
- Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment (blenders, granulators, mills, etc.).
- Perform milling, packing, and metal detection of finished products.
Packaging and Labeling:
- Weigh, pack, and label finished products.
Shipping and Receiving:
- Assist with unloading containers, loading trucks, and verifying orders.
Facilities Maintenance:
- Support maintenance tasks, such as equipment cleaning, adjustments, and relocations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; Associate's or Trade degree is a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Must be self-motivated, reliable, and organized.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license and transportation required. Forklift certification is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
Other Information:
- Must follow all standard operating procedures and maintain hygiene standards.
- Additional duties as assigned.
