Job Summary:

JOB SUMMARY

The Fleet Coordinator is the key individual contributor responsible for the overall maintenance of the ambulance fleet of the Neonatal and Pediatric Transport Team at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt which includes preventative maintenance, vehicle service, warranty, cleaning, detailing, supplies, and vehicle transfers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain the ambulance fleet of the Neonatal and Pediatric Transport Program at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt

  • Perform daily inspections of each ambulance fleet

  • Review and assist leadership with recommended ambulance fleet usage protocols and policies to pro-long life and service of the fleet vehicles.

  • Review and report any evidence or documentation related to accidents, suspected violations of Vanderbilt policies, safety hazards, and/or unusual incidents regarding the fleet usage to leadership.

  • Perform minor maintenance and regular preventative maintenance service to ambulance fleet vehicles as needed

  • Maintain inventory and supplies for vehicle cleaning and service needs, as well as maintenance and organization of the fleet storage area and warehouse.

  • Reviews and recommends service equipment and materials to assist in vehicle operation and cleanliness as well as ensuring items in operation.

  • Maintains ambulance fleet mileage records and service records.

  • Tracks and schedules all preventative and necessary maintenance, service, and repairs while coordinating with service partners to ensure fast and efficient turnaround of ambulance fleet.

  • Communicates directly with leadership regarding ambulance fleet issues and coordination of repairs, to include removing vehicles from service when safety and operational concerns are apparent.

  • Meets with Leadership to discuss current/future maintenance and service plan needs.

  • Maintain recall notices and repairs.

  • Maintains and regularly updates fleet records and databases.

  • Assists with other duties as assigned.
