Nokia of America Corporation, BR Lab Software Developer (Multiple Positions), Murray Hill, NJ. Design and implement software features, applications, and user experiences for research projects and innovative product concepts. Write and review well-designed, scalable, and testable software according to requirements. Develop backend software and support the entire application development lifecycle (concept, design, test, release, and support). Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems. Optimize performance and write unit and UI tests to identify feature malfunctions. Ensure new and legacy applications meet quality standards. Work with other software engineers, UT designers, product owners and stakeholders to clarify business requirements and user experience goals. Gather requirements, suggest solutions, proactively research, make recommendations and prototype solutions for new technologies. Stay abreast of technology trends, proactively suggest adoption where applicable, and participate in project and product concept definitions. SALARY RANGE: $121,980 - $159,591 per yearWORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.) JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience; OR a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and 1 year of related work experience. Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience with the following: Designing software features for user experience and user interfacing; Programming languages: JavaScript, Kotlin, Java, Python, HTML, or CSS; Using Integrated development environment and tools: Visual Studio Code, Xcode, Postman, or Jira; Object-Oriented Design principles, data structure design memory or performance optimization; Software development experience with full-stack (frontend & backend) or mobile frontend technologies; Writing testing programs, evaluating and verifying software to prevent bugs and improve performance; Administering Agile/scrum processes including daily scrums, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
