The Director of Brand Strategy is a hybrid role that will contribute as part of collaborative brand team in three primary areas. As a Director of Brand Strategy, you will work to accelerate customer affinity and grow perceptions of our offerings, especially in the B2B space. You will guide naming in key areas of our portfolio in partnership with Product Marketing and Engineering. And as brand leader, you will help to ensure our brand story lands well in a number of critical channels. Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and execution of our brand narrative and strategy for key parts of our portfolio

  • Contribute to our discipline, bringing fresh thinking and brand strategy best practices

  • Lead naming for products, services, apps, and features for our portfolio.

  • Drive branding projects across integrated marketing channels

  • Candidate will bring both product marketing and brand building experience to the role. Your job will be to create a balance between delivering clarity for wayfinding and functional understanding of the technology through naming while building emotional connections with customers through meaningful brand stories worthy of capturing hearts and minds.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years work experience at a branding agency or with product marketing, brand building, and/or strategy development.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years creative strategy experience, which could include brief writing and/or managing strategy on the corporate or agency side.

  • 8+ years experience managing projects (e.g., internal stakeholder management, timelines, prioritization, road mapping).

  • Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.

  • Trusted communication skills and the ability to influence at multiple levels of the organization.

  • Fluency in turning product strategy and business objectives into clear brand and naming strategy.

  • Proven ability to think strategically and creatively, while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Strategic mindset including interpreting data to inform strategy and execution.

  • Proven experience organizing and driving branding projects across multiple channels

  • Creative strategy experience on the corporate or agency side is a plus.

Brand IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $248,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $268,900 per year.
