Google Senior Director, Chief of Staff, Technical Program Management in Mountain View, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience.

  • 15 years of Technical Program Management experience or related experience.

  • 10 years of experience leading and developing a team of technical programs managers and other technical professionals (e.g., software engineers, data scientists, analytics specialists).

  • Program management experience and experience working cross-functionally, driving execution, and delivering technical projects,

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience defining technical and business strategy and building a team to deliver.

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with experience building and managing a fast paced team, and the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Expertise working with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to analyze, structure, and break down complex technical and business problems.

As Senior Director, you will manage a team that develops, executes, and leads technical operations and key initiatives across the Labs Product Area. You will build the operational structure to support rapid growth, unblock critical areas for product development, enable scale, and streamline information across businesses and for Labs-level leadership. You will also serve as a Chief of Staff, keeping organizational cadence and business needs in alignment fully owning organization strategy and execution.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $320,000-$445,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
