Position Summary:
The School of Engineering & Technology at Central Michigan University (CMU ) seeks an experienced and dynamic individual for a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship position in the Environmental Engineering program.
One postdoctoral position is available in the Materials for Water Treatment group at Central Michigan University. We are looking for enthusiastic scientists to work on developing nanomaterials for water filtration, including the synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials, polymers, and membrane filtration studies. We are seeking talented individuals with demonstrated experience in at least three and preferably four of the following areas: • Synthesis and characterization of graphitic carbon nitride and other nanostructural carbons • Polymer synthesis and characterization • Water quality analysis (spectrophotometric and chromatographic methods) • Membrane and adsorption processes • Water treatment process modeling
Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering

About the Department:
The School of Engineering and Technology (SET ) is housed in the College of Science and Engineering (CSE ). SET has four undergraduate Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, and Environmental Engineering), three undergraduate Engineering Technology (Industrial, Mechanical, and Product Design Engineering Technology), and a graduate (MS in Engineering) program. SET presently has 24 full-time faculty members. Courses are taught in an attractive 70,000-square-foot engineering & technology building which houses more than twenty laboratories and support spaces.
