DIRECTOR / EDUCATOR PREPARATION PROGRAMS

Position Summary:

The Director of Educator Preparation Programs (EPP ) works collaboratively with the Dean of the College of Education and Human Services to provide leadership for all educator preparation programs, including curriculum, assessment, accreditation, policies, and personnel. The Director works closely with Office of Educator Preparation program staff to manage clinical field placements, establish and support BK-12 and community college partnerships, and ensure compliance with national and state accreditation standards. The Director supervises the Associate Director of Clinical Experiences and Pathway Partnerships and the Associate Director of Assessment and Accreditation. The Director works collaboratively with faculty across 5 academic colleges and more than 20 academic programs to implement initial and advanced educator preparation programs. 

Required Qualifications:

Terminal degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) from a regionally accredited college or university in education, higher education administration, or a related field. Three years of BK-12 public school teaching experience. Experience with curriculum development in higher education. Experience leading a diverse staff and resolving day to day issues with staff and students. Knowledge of regional and/or disciplinary accreditation standards and reporting practices. Established record of relationship building and partnership activity with BK-12 public school and/or school district administrators. Evidence of strong decision-making and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated project management skills. Record of supporting teacher preparation and development in the service of diverse, marginalized communities. Demonstrated commitment to social justice and educational transformation. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Pay Range: $90,000 - $100,000 per year
