Quality Inspector, Stanley Access Technologies - Mt Comfort, IN

Join us for open interviews on Thursday’s between the hours of 2-5PM. Walk in interviews will be available at our Mt Comfort location (6825 West 400 North, Greenfield, IN). We’ll have first and second shift positions available. We encourage you to also complete your application in advance.
What You Will Do:
Perform dimensional and mechanical inspections as required to ensure no department level escapes.
Collect and record quality related data, build reports and communicates effectively.
Assist in developing process controls, inspection frequencies and audit requirements to improve overall quality.
Work with Engineering, Production, and the Quality team to drive corrective actions.
Train operators and others to perform required tasks to mitigate Quality issues.
Work with manufacturing engineers to resolve Quality related issues plant wide as needed. issues.
Support the supplier nonconformance system, including coordinating supplier corrective action responses and follow ups.
Conduct internal audits as defined.
Perform quality tasks as defined by the Quality Engineer/QC Leadership
Perform other tasks as required.
What You Need to Succeed:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years' experience in Assembly or Machine Shop inspection.
Available to work overtime when needed
Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints.
Experience working with process, product or quality improvement teams.
Basic knowledge on existing systems to support data and communications as required.
Computer skills a must including Microsoft Office.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability and willingness to learn.
Demonstrate a strong ability to communicate with all levels on the team.
Able to prioritize and perform in a fast-paced environment.
Able to work with limited direction.
Must maintain a certain level of urgency to control quality.
Mechanically inclined
Able to lift 75 lbs
Available to work overtime when needed.
You must have ability to work independently with little supervision.
You will need to be able to frequently (4 or more hours per day): lift, carry (25-50 lbs.), stoop, twist, and reach (overhead and to the side)
You must have ability to work from part or assembly drawings and specifications
You must have ability to communicate well with others
You must have the ability to see well, including strong depth perception and the ability to distinguish between colors
You will be required to continuously or near continuously stand and maintain your balance
