This REMOTE position is a great opportunity to get "in" with an exceptional company! Are you a SENIOR RPG FREE Developer who eats, sleeps, and breathes everything AS400 and has experience with embedded SQL and webservices experience? Do you get excited thinking about Iseries, RPG and the best ways to produce within the midrange environment? If the answers are yes, this job is yours!
This position provides strong process, design, and development to maintain RPG Free with specific new development within RPG Free. This position will include embedded SQL (accessing database within RPF Free) and webservices experience (interfacing with 3rd party applications). This position guides architecture and application design decisions, leads development projects, and trains and mentors the development staff on the latest RPG versions and distributed computing technologies. This position is expected to be hands-on development (new and maintenance) of the iSeries-based system.
Contract Duration: 5 – 6 Months (extension likely) Required Skills & Experience
5 years hands-on experience with full development lifecycle in an iSeries environment using all versions of RPG, CL, ILE, DB2 and SQL.
5 years hands-on new development with RPG Free, embedded SQL, and web services
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong customer service, teaching, and mentoring skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work in a projects-based, team environment
Proficient in multi-tasking and managing multiple projects
Strong organizational and time management skills
Able to be flexible and adapt to change
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications

What You Will Be Doing
