Actalent NPI Leader in Morgan Hill, California

Description:

• Develop plans for new product introduction (NPI) with a cross-function team to drive all activities for technology transfer, manufacturing readiness, and timely product release. • Lead and/or participate in production preparedness program, align goals, timelines, and resources to execute NPI plans. • Track and communicate project status and dependencies to all impacted parties. Identify at-risk critical deliverables and develop action plans to avoid delays or facilitate recovery as necessary. • Roll up sleeves and dive into large issues affecting projects. Gather base data sets and bring in company experts to resolve these issues quickly and effectively. • Proactively communicate risks and mitigation plans to stakeholders and the executive team; align decisions with the leadership team. • Facilitate knowledge sharing and documentation of best practices, continuously improve NPI processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Advanced degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Molecular Biology • Reagent development and manufacturing experience essential: Minimum of five years of manufacturing operations experience with three years in the development and/or introduction of new products in life science businesses • Knowledge of reagent manufacturing processes and manufacturability to comprehend and anticipate quality issues. • Experience in setting up manufacturing processes, working with supply chains, and production line validation. • Strong "lean" manufacturing experience/ background , focused on problem solving skills. • Experience with automation platforms is a plus • CAD Engineering experience, desired • Thorough and detail-oriented with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills • Self-starter, able to multi-task and demonstrated ability to drive for changes. • Team player: ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment. • Reagent development and manufacturing experience essential
