POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Commercial Account Manager in our Virtual Business Center within the Inclusive Entrepreneurship Unit ( IEU ), you will be an exceptional collaborator in order to help entrepreneurs.es from the Indigenous community in their ambitions and business projects. You will work collaboratively with internal partners in order to provide excellent customer service.

What you'll need to achieve:

  • Establish and maintain a customer relationship, retention, and growth strategy for a portfolio of Indigenous entrepreneurs.

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for financing and consulting, including offering other value-added support services for the community.

  • Develop and implement a marketing plan, including: the acquisition of new businesses in the Designated Region; relations with local partners and the nurturing and qualification of new prospects.

  • Achieve financial objectives related to profitability, growth and retention of the portfolio.

  • Analyzes, negotiates, and prepares high-quality loan proposals that represent acceptable levels of risk and keeps abreast of changes in policies, procedures, and processes.

Our ideal candidate would have:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial banking (or alternative relevant experience).

  • In-depth understanding of the Indigenous entrepreneurial community.

  • In-depth knowledge of BDC's products, policies, processes, and procedures.

  • Strong credit judgment with a good understanding of credit policies and practices.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset for this role.
