Senior Director of Nursing/Resource Nurse Position to support Northeast Vermont, primarily the counties of Caledonia, Washington and Orleans.

Join Genesis as a Senior Center Nurse Executive (Sr. CNE) where your experience and expertise will have a larger impact. In this position, you will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality and cost-effective health care while achieving positive clinical outcomes, and patient/family and employee satisfaction at a nursing center. And, you will also provide leadership, training and expert guidance to other nursing centers in the Market.
Position HighlightsLead, guide and direct the overall operations, integration, coordination and direction of nursing and patient care within a nursing center *Ensure that care delivery is consistent with the mission, vision, values and policies of Genesis HealthCare and in accordance with accepted standards of practice, state and federal regulations and licensing requirements. *Participate in the nursing center's strategic planning and budget preparation. *Develop an effective leadership team to coordinate clinical, educational and operational activities to ensure nursing personnel possess the clinical expertise and certifications required for the patient population. *Execute a strong Quality Improvement (QI) process for the nursing departmentEvaluate current systems and processes and provide problem solving assistance in Market nursing centers with regulatory or other care related issues.*Participate in the Markets' pre-survey process

Qualifications:
*Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college or university with a current registered nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing. BSN preferred *A minimum of five years full-time or equivalent clinical experience with at least two years' experience in nursing supervision in the skilled nursing/long-term care setting is required. *Must currently holds a position as Director of Nursing in a skilled nursing/long-term care center. *Must possess demonstrated leadership, organizational, interpersonal and critical thinking skills. *Must be knowledgeable of Genesis policies and procedures, MDS process, state nurse practice acts, and state and federal regulations.
