On the Bell Business Markets team, you’ll be a vital part of making innovation happen for enterprise-scale customers. You’ll deliver advanced solutions in areas such as IoT, Mobility/5G, Cloud, Cyber Security, Voice, Collaboration & Contact Centre and Internet & Private Networks.

Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Technical Sales, you will be responsible for the sales engineering function within the Wholesale market. You will lead a diverse team of approximately 12 Pre-Sales Engineering Consultants who capture customer requirements, develop customer solutions, and perform technical selling of Bell Wholesale products. You will work alongside Sales Account Executives to guide our customers though technical and business decisions across the entire portfolio of Wholesale services. You will interact with a diverse team of technical and business professionals across multiple Bell teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a high-performance pre-sales engineering team in a competitive business environment with a focus on motivating, coaching, and mentoring team members.

  • Oversee and demonstrate pre-sales engineering / solution architecture best practices, including architectural vision, solution design, risk analysis, technical documentation, and Statement-of-Work (SOW) development in collaboration with the Account Executives.

  • Serve as the main point of escalation and deliver support to direct reports for all sales engineering activities, including facilities checks, order submission, circuit provisioning, and post-sales architectural support.

Critical Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in solution architecture and/or technical sales.

  • Comprehensive understanding of telecommunications technologies, solutions, and service offerings within the Wholesale and B2B environment.

  • Experience leading and managing dynamic teams and resolving issues across multi-disciplinary functions is an asset.

  • In the course of their duties, this person will be required to interact with French & English speaking stakeholders across Canada

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

  • Previous telecommunications experience in a B2B or service provider environment is an asset – especially in any of the following domains: local exchange carriers (ILEC/CLEC), internet service providers (ISP), mobile carriers, or managed services providers.

  • Relevant networking or telecommunications industry certifications are an asset. Ex: Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, Metro Ethernet Forum
