Product Development Manager:Oversees the product lifecycle, from concept to market launch and after sale review. Works closely with factory engineering, regulatory bodies, marketing, and sales teams to ensure our heat pump and ventilation products meet the highest standards of performance, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Manages product development, ensuring code compliance and industry installation best practice, engaging with market trends, supporting government and utility incentive programs, and driving product strategy to achieve business goals. Engages industry and customer base to deliver technical and sales education to drive market penetration, collecting industry feedback to shape future category strategies.Please note this is a full-time opportunity. Office based work will be performed for our Mississauga location at Ambler Drive. Responsibilities:

  1. Product Development:

  2. Leads the product development process for HVAC and Ventilation heat, for new and existing product.

  3. Collaborates with engineering teams to design, test, and refine product feature development.

  4. Defines product specifications, features, and performance metrics based on market needs and technological advancements.

  5. Ensures product quality and reliability through rigorous testing and validation processes.

  6. Creates and delivers product materials including trainings, sell sheets, spec sheets, performance charts alongside collaborative teams.

  7. Code Compliance:

  8. Stays up to date with local, national, and international HVAC codes and standards.

  9. Works with regulatory bodies to ensure all products meet necessary compliance requirements.

  10. Integrates compliance considerations into product design and development processes.

  11. Manages reporting for compliance audits and reviews (internal/external).

  12. Market Analysis and Strategy:

  13. Conducts market research to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.

  14. Develops and implements product strategies that align with company objectives and market opportunities.

  15. Creates business cases, product roadmaps, and go-to-market plans for new product launches.

  16. Monitors product performance and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.

  17. Government and Utility Incentive Program:

  18. Identifies and understands government and utility incentive programs relevant to HVAC heat pumps.

  19. Ensures product designs meet the requirements to qualify for applicable incentives.

  20. Collaborates with external stakeholders to stay informed about changes in incentive programs and regulations.

  21. Supports marketing and sales teams in communicating the benefits of incentive programs to customers.

  22. Facilitates applications and documentation for incentive program participation.

  23. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  24. Works closely with marketing and sales teams to develop compelling product price positioning and messaging.

  25. Provides technical support and training to internal teams and key customers / stakeholders.

  26. Develops promotional materials and collateral to communicate our unique value proposition to stakeholders.

  27. Coordinates with supply chain and manufacturing teams to ensure efficient production and delivery.

  28. Facilitates communication and alignment between all stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.

  29. Customer Engagement:

  30. Engages with customers, industry professionals, and trade associations to gather insights and build relationships.

  31. Represents the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences with thought leadership, product materials.

  32. Collects and analyzes customer feedback to inform product improvements and innovation.

  33. Trains and executes customer technical and sales teams as well as prospective customers/decision makers.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • College or University Degree – 3- or 4-Year Bachelor Level in Marketing or Business

  • 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience within HVAC industry is preferred.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills to conduct in depth analysis and develop customized solutions.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to negotiate and build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
