FANUC America Corporation Field Service Technician - CNC in Mississauga, Ontario

Provide maintenance and troubleshooting service for CNCs, servo, spindle drive and motor products on most encountered products and problems without assistance.
Proficient repairing unfamiliar controls and effectively repairing all trained products.
Investigate and analyze customer complaints to identify the root cause of the problem.
Serve as a liaison with customers and provide support to ensure optimal use of FANUC products.
Identify necessary replacement parts for service calls and ensure their availability
Report encountered quality issues and actively share with the appropriate manager
Understand and follow all service operations and procedures and submit completed company-required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
Improve the level of knowledge through active participation in self-study, on-the-job training and company training.
Successfully work in teams, personal initiative, and effectively manage themselves in a somewhat unstructured environment.
Must be willing and able to travel to customer site upon their demands within company provided direction and guidelines including 10% overnight travel to other Provinces as required. Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:
Post-secondary education from a technical school or community college, specializing in Electro Technology, Mechatronics, or related technical fields or relevant work experience.
Minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience in a role that requires technical proficiency in a customer-focused or field service role.
Minimum of three years of experience working in CNC, servo motors and other motor products preferred
Experience with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting, teardown, and repair
Effectively and professionally organize and plan for many simultaneous and complex issues.
Ability to analyze, problem solve, troubleshoot and make logical decisions to determine appropriate course of action
Ability to manipulate tools, knobs, levers or wiring that are needed to repair equipment.
Ability to transport equipment and parts (weighing up to 75 pounds) to customer locations.
Ability to work safely and effectively within OSHA Laws.
Proven high level of competency in Windows, MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other web-based applications.
Possession of a valid driver's license and a Canadian passport.
