Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned Sr Electrical Engineer to design, develop, modify, and evaluate FPGA blocks for electronic equipment or other hardware systems and/or electrical engineering applications. This role requires a strong understanding of design approaches and parameters and the ability to simulate and verify FPGA designs to ensure proper functionality. The ideal candidate will support the Symplicitytrade G4 renal denervation RF generator product and will have 6-10 years of relevant experience. This position offers a flexible work schedule, with a preference for primarily onsite work with some remote opportunities.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, modify, and evaluate FPGA blocks for electronic equipment or other hardware systems and/or electrical engineering applications.
Determine design approaches and parameters.
Simulate and verify FPGA designs to ensure proper functionality.
Support the implementation of FPGA designs, including synthesis, timing, placement, routing, and power analysis.
Analyze designs to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results.
Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
Review vendor capabilities to support product development.
Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
Design electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
Deliver and manage projects from design to implementation, adhering to policies using specialized knowledge and skills.
Essential Skills
Experience designing Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), digital design of Integrated Circuits (IC), or Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC).
Experience with AMD/Xilinx Zynq FPGAs, including Vivado toolset.
Experience implementing video subsystems in an FPGA design.
Simulation experience to support verification, including Universal Verification Methodology (UVM) and constrained random techniques.
Familiarity with requirements-driven safety-critical government-regulated industries such as medical or aerospace/defense.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with digital design implementation, including synthesis, timing, placement, routing, and power analysis.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Work Environment
This role offers a flexible work schedule with a preference for primarily onsite work with some remote opportunities. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00/hr.
