Wells Fargo Senior Financial Controls Analyst in MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Financial Controls Analyst to join our Enterprise COSO testing team. The Enterprise COSO Testing team within the Enterprise Controls and Oversight group is part of the first line of defense in Finance responsible for testing business process controls covering financial, regulatory, and non-financial reporting risks. `

In this role, you will:

  • Supervise and review the control test work of other control testing team members

  • Perform walkthroughs of significant processes and ensure required control documentation is accurate and reflects relevant risk and key controls

  • Validate and challenge risk assessment conclusions, including assessing the appropriateness and completeness of key risk and key controls identified

  • Validate and provide credible challenge to identified shared services, third party service providers, and significant applications

  • Perform testing of key controls mitigating high financial or non-financial reporting risks, including design effectiveness assessments and operating effectiveness testing

  • Validate and challenge documentation of control deficiencies, including issue description, root cause, unmitigated impact, and corrective actions

  • Monitor open control deficiencies and validating corrective actions

  • Build relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders in the applicable line of business and IT functions related to assigned process area

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Reporting or Business and Technology Audit experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Internal control testing experience

  • Big four public accounting experience

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to take initiative, prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.

  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory agencies: Federal Reserve and OCC.

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$84,000.00 - $149,400.00
