Jostens Sales Operations Analyst in Minneapolis, Minnesota
SALES OPERATIONS ANALYST
ABOUT YOU:
As a Sales Operations Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing sales performance, financial trends, customer behavior, and product mix to drive data-informed business decisions. You will leverage data visualization, reporting tools, and business intelligence to identify opportunities that enhance sales strategies and operational efficiency. Your ability to synthesize complex data, develop insights, and collaborate cross-functionally will directly impact Jostens’ sales programs and business performance.
YOU HAVE:
Education. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Marketing, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
Sales & Business Analytics Experience. 2-3 years of experience in data reporting, modeling, visualization, and sales, pricing, or operational analysis.
Advanced Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills. Ability to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and translate insights into business recommendations.
CRM & Reporting Expertise. Working knowledge of CRM systems and experience with data reporting tools (Salesforce, Seismic, Oracle BI, SAP BO, etc.).
Financial Acumen. Strong understanding of basic financial principles and how they impact business decisions.
Results-Driven Mindset. High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
Cross-Functional Collaboration. Ability to work across teams, aligning data analysis with business objectives to drive operational improvements.
Adaptability & Initiative. Self-starter who can operate independently in a fast-paced environment, identifying opportunities to enhance data-driven decision-making.
YOU WILL:
Analyze & Report on Sales Performance. Generate reports and conduct in-depth analysis of sales metrics, financial performance, and customer trends.
Develop & Maintain Dashboards. Use data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) to create dashboards that track key performance indicators (KPIs).
Identify Business Insights & Opportunities. Examine sales trends, anomalies, and outliers, conducting research to determine the best course of action.
Optimize Sales Strategy & Process Improvements. Use data to develop new sales strategies, improve pricing models, and enhance distribution channels.
Support High-Level Business Initiatives. Participate in strategic planning, providing metric reporting and business intelligence to stakeholders.
Enhance Data Quality & Reporting Efficiency. Identify opportunities to improve data structures, reporting processes, and automation tools.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally. Work with sales, finance, IT, and business leaders to ensure alignment of data insights with business goals.
Typical/expected % of overnight travel: 10%
